Hailing from India, Adya completed her LLM from the Victoria University of Wellington in 2023 and joined Henry Hughes in February 2024. Prior to joining us, she worked as an intellectual property (IP) attorney in India for about 3 years.
Adya is a Trade Mark Executive and primarily assists Elena Szentiványi and David Moore with trade mark prosecution and opposition matters, which involves searches, drafting submissions and responding to office actions.
“Dancer by birth and a lawyer by profession” – is exactly how “Adya” (yes, that’s her preferred name) would describe herself. Outside of work, she loves to travel, and her partner loves photography. So, they spend most of their time doing exactly that – exploring and photographing this beautiful city and country. She also loves to dance and is trained in the Indian classical artform of Bharatanatyam with about 15 years of experience.
